Bio
"El Slatto" as he is referred to, is one of the most musically talented members of the Mescaleros. His knowledge of music production as well as his ability to play a plethra of musical instruments adds considerably to the diverse sound of the band as a whole. He is known for switching from one instrument to the next, often in between songs during live shows.
In 1996, Martin and Scott, who were previously together in the band "Bond", had moved on to "Black Grape" where they teamed up with Joe Strummer and Pablo Cooke while recording "Stupid, Stupid, Stupid". Since then, he has worked with a variety of acts, co-writing and producing tracks, usually with fellow Mescalero Scott Shields.
