Bio

Scott Shields, born November 26, 1969, hails from Glasgow, Scotland. Orginally playing bass guitar for The Mescaleros, Scott moved to the electric guitar after the addition of Simon Stafford. He began his musical career as the drummer for Scottish rock act G.U.N. and moved on to the band Bond in 1998 where he met up with current band mate Martin Slattery. Since then, they have worked together on many musical projects, including Paul Heaton's "Biscuit Boy" released in 2002.
Shields adds to the Mescaleros with his knowledge of producing and his ability to play various musical instruments. He has been instrumental in writing the songs on the two Mescalero releases thus far and is a vital and long standing member of the Mescalero crew.

2002 - Paul Heaton - Produced, co-wrote, and performed on Paul Heaton's first solo album "Biscuit Boy"
