Bio

Tymon Dogg became a member of The Mescaleros in 2000 after running into Joe Strummer at the Poetry Olympics. This was not the first time they had crossed paths musically. Dogg sang "Lose This Skin" on The Clash's "Sandinista!" in 1980 and later worked with Joe and other Clash members on Ellen Foley's "Spirit of St Louis". Orignially signed to the ill-fated Beatle's Apple label in the 1960's, Dogg returned to busking in the subways where he ran into Joe Strummer in the mid 1970's, who was known as "Woody" at the time and begin to help the young musician including teaching him how the play the ukelele.
Tymon's violin playing has been admired time and again by JS & The Mescaleros fans. From his on-stage energy and talent during "Johnny Appleseed" and "Bummed Out City" to his amazingly improvised fiddle dub on "Armagideon Time", Tymon has proved himself and indespensible part of the Mescalero line-up.
